It's finally time! The Video Game Awards have just finished and we've got all of the winners right here for you!
Excited yet?
Best Performance by a Human Male:

Before anything even got STARTED we had our first award! So congrats to Dameon Clarke for his performance as Handsome Jack! Unstable, psychotic and unhinged - these are just some of his good qualities! He really did give a great performance (plus we're glad that we got our prediction right!
Best Performance by a Human Female:

Congrats to Melissa Hutchinson who voiced Clementine in the Walking Dead game for winning this award! It must have been close, but fair is fair! It was a well written game and a pretty good performance, so it's definitely well deserved!
Best Original Score:

The only game to not be a sequel, Journey faced a lot of competition but it managed to come out on top! Give it a check on youtube when you get a minute, you won't regret it!
Best Graphics:

I'm proud to say this is another that VGU predicted right! Halo 4 won the Best Graphics category - visually stunning and beautiful are two words definitely used to describe it. Congrats on the masterpiece!
Best Xbox 360 Game:

Probably a predictable one, but definitely a huge congratulations to 343 Industries for Halo 4 winning Best Xbox 360 Game! An immense story that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster, beautiful graphics and an extensive multiplayer experience, we're glad that it got the credit it deserved! Congrats for 343 Industries creating an awesome game!
Best Shooter:

Our guessing streak is over, with Borderlands 2 winning Best Shooter, competing against the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Halo 4. Hats off to you sir, with 17 bazillion guns, lots of gorey action and a host of entertaining and psycho characters including Claptrap and Mad Moxxi!
Best DLC:

Picking up Best DLC of the year, Dawnguard trumped Borderlands 2 DLC and Portal 2 DLC. Giving you the ability to become the ultimate vampire it adds a good few more hours of gameplay to an already awesome game. Well done Bethesda!
Best RPG:

Despite its competitors, Mass Effect 3 won the Best RPG category! Innovative and exciting were what they were going for, and apparently they succeeded with that well enough to win an award! (Let's just say this caused a bit of rage within VGU...)
Best Action Adventure Game:
Arkane did a good job competing with an existing franchise such as Assassin's Creed, winning the Best Action Adventure Game category with Dishonored! Happy with this? Let us know!
Best Indie Game:

Yet another huge argument with the team, Journey won Best Indie Game, taking it to a total of 2 awards so far! It's looking really good for the indie game!
Best Multiplayer:

Winning yet another award, Borderlands 2 won the Best Multiplayer category this year! It's sure looking good for Gearbox Software's creation!
Character of the Year:

Quirky, insane and completely oblivious, Claptrap stole the Character of the Year award! And boy did he sure seem pleased!
Game of the Year:

Well. I don't think many people were expecting this! The Walking Dead managed to snatch Game of the Year from the hands of Assassin's Creed 3 and Dishonored! They must really be proud! Congrats to the guys, but what do you guys think? Are you happy?
Studio of the Year:

Anyone can agree Telltale Games have done pretty well tonight. Their game won Game of the Year, and they've just won Studio of the Year as well!
Best PS3 Game:

Yet another win for the indie game. Journey has scooped 3 awards so far, could it get any more?
Best Fighting Game:

Perhaps another suprising result, Persona 4 Arena won Best Fighting game. Let's just say one person in VGU is incredibly happy with this...
Best Downloadable Game:

Yup, you guys voted it! The Walking Dead has the title of not only Game of the Year but also Best Downloaded Game.
Best Wii/Wii-U Game:

Fans of Mario will love this - New Super Mario Bros. U grabbed Best Wii-U/Wii game beating its conpetitors such as Xenoblade Chronicles.
Best Individual Sports Game:

Electronic Arts have done it again, winning another award for SSX. They must be doing something right.
Best Team Sports Game:

2K Sports picked up an award with NBA 2K13, winning Best Team Sports Game!
Best Driving Game:

This one makes me quite happy, with Need for Speed Most Wanted won Best Driving game this year, beating Dirt, F1 and Forza!
Best Song In A Game:

Beautiful and well composed, Cities won Best Song in a Game this year. It's caused quite a few arguments within the VGU staff, so my hat is off to you Beck! Nice song!
Best Handheld/Mobile Game:

Having just won Best Song in a Game, Sound Shapes has also won Best Handheld/Mobile Game of 2012!
Best Adapted Video Game:

By this point people were probably expecting this. The Walking Dead managed to also scoop Best Adapted Video Game. They should probably share with the rest of the games about now....
Best Social Game:

Personally I'm more of an Avengers Alliance girl, but You Don't Know Jack won Best Social Game. It even managed to beat Draw Something! How good is that?!
Most Anticipated Game of the Year:

According to your votes the general public is most looking forward to Grand Theft Auto V! Now this will change with people, so feel free to let us know what you're really looking forward to in the comments!
And last (but definitely not least!).....
Game of the Decade:

So Half Life 2 snagged the prestigious title of Game of the Decade. What do you think? Do you agree? Let us know!
Hope you enjoyed the awards and, if you missed them, we stayed up all night to bring you the results! Not happy with something though? Let us know in the comments! We love comments, they make us smile. And don't forget to say how awesome Samuel L Jackson was, especially in the game snippets!
