First it was Captain Scarlett, then Mr Torgue. Now it's Sir Hammerlock issuing the latest challenge - your weekend shootout expedition with Hammerlock gets sidetracked (who knew you two were that close?) by a huge Handsome Jack supporter, so you need to stop this latest psycho.
Firstly the game has a higher level requirement, meaning you should be at leat Level 30 before you even attempt it. The new tribal enemies can be quite a handful, as well as the new creatures! IGN's article says the Shaman can not only cast spells that turn them into elemental devishes, but can also turn their allies into Badasses. These new enemies have new bevahiours that mean you'll have to change your usual 'run-and-gun' tactics - these aren't the same as the bandits you're used to fighting. The swamps are also infested with savages, which are like bandits. Even the midgets still squeal in that disturbing yet adorable manner, so there are some familiarities.
Then there are the Spores, which are big, flying creatures that hover over you dropping suicidal mini versions of themselves, and the Scaylions, which are Varkid-like bug creatures (hopefully not quite as annoying!)
Don't forget that there's the new vehicle as well, which has approximately 68 customisable skins and all the elemental weaponry you can handle - corrosive, indindiary and shock. This can move over in all directions meaning you can rain carnage more efficiently. Then there's the new raid bosses (including a giant Stalker) and more loot than you can possible imagine. The Vault Huners will definitely needs bigger backpacks! Check out the previous article for the weapon screenshots.
Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is set to release January 15th, so if you have the Season Pass you will be able to download it straight away. For everyone else it will be available for 800 Microsoft Points on XBLA or around £8 on Steam and PSN.
