At first rumours and slight details were announced, but now the new competitive playlist has been confirmed on Halo Waypoint with some early details. This new playlist features heavily modified versions of Slayer, CTF, Extraction and King of the Hill and is set to launch before CSR (about mid-february). They've been paying close attention to the competitive community's settings while building it, and will continue to do so both pre- and post-launch. The name of the new playlist is still TBD, but here are some early details:
- 4 vs 4
- Pre-set game loadouts
- Forced respawn timers
- No instant respawn
- Ordnance on re-supply timers
- Join-in-progress off
- No split-screen play
- Friendly fire on
- Max party size 4 with big party matching enforced
- No guests allowed
343 Industries will be keeping a close eye on AGL and the settings used in the tournament, and thank the fans for their continued support. Are you looking forward to the new playlist? Give us a shoutout in the comments!
