Planescape: Torment is fondly remembered for a sharp script that questioned the nature of what could change a man. Being Good Old Games best selling title since they began selling, it has cemented itself in the annuls of gaming history as one of the best PC RPGs available. So is it any surprise that its spiritual successor Torment: Tides of Numenera was such as smash hit on kickstarter?
The game, being developed by inXile Entertainment, hasn't just been funded though. The $900,000 asked for was given in a mere 6 hours! The game finished the kickstarter campaign at a staggering $4,188,927, beating the previous record holder "Project Eternity" which ended at $3,986,929. This is also not including other donations made through Paypal which you can still donate to now.
