The War Z Ex-Moderator controversy confirmed as Hoax

DevinH himself on youtube, video below. DevinH himself on youtube, video below.

If you have been following the WarZ news lately (or just compulsively browsing Reddit or 4chan), you would have more than likely came accross this forum thread (actual page URL, now edited) by a de-modded War Z user Devin "DevinH" Hutchinson. The forum post was created as a repost after Devin originally made a similar post on 4chan, the reason why he created it? in a video he made several days after the post; where he also announced the entire post was fake, Devin said that he felt "betrayed" because he was threatened with demotion after a "simple" mistake he claims could have happened to anyone:

"... I got attacked by a hacker, umm, they sent me a link to a website that had a java exploit on it that downloaded something to my computer which was a virus, they took control of my forum account and then deleted a lot of posts" - Devin (transcribed from the video)

After recieving a demotion by the Admins for losing his account, Devin added that he thought to himself a rational response was to "try and hurt their profits, try and stop people from playing their game" and created the post, containing some pretty serious allegations about Hammerpoint and OP productions' development and sale of The War Z, which sparked an influx of refunds and an outcry from players and observers and even making it's way to Reddit/Gaming's frontpage, potentially damaging The War Z's reputation.

Though Devin has apologised and confessed, it may be too little too late for the damage already resulting from the controversy. Devin has claimed however he's working with other moderators, "Kewk" and "Sergey" about what changes can be made to further benefit the community, This does show however that taking things at face value on the internet might not always be a good idea.

I don't know what they promised that guy for him to come back on his statements, but to be honest, the game is horribly full of hackers and it's literally a waste of time trying to play straight, since you will have your gun looted very soon by some wallhacker spotting you from the other side of the town.
Moreover, they're censoring the threads talking about the hacking issues or a few other things they don't want people to read, and in my opinion, it's a very wrong attitude. The only other time I've had this experience is at the start of Mortal Online, they've been having the same behavior and look now what their supposedly next generation MMo has become, one amongt other F2P with P2W option in order to have some paying customers kicking the free players' asses.
Don't buy War Z, it's a scam even for 15$, it's basically a mod for War Inc, just wait for the Day Z standalone it can't be worse.
