The first massive DLC map pack has been announced for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Called "Revolution" it includes four new multiplayer maps, a new Zombies map and Zombie game mode and a brand new multiplayer weapon. The four new maps are:
- Mirage: A sand-swept luxury resort in the Gobi Desert
- Grind: Battle through half pipes and skate ramps within a massive skate park in California's Venice Beach
- Hydro: A hydroelectric dam in Pakistan
- Downhill: Take the fight to the French Alps ski resort
The pack also contains a new multiplayer weapon, the "Peacekeeper" which is a hybrid SMG-Assault rifle, and comes complete with its own set of XP-earning challenges. It is currently only going to be available through this map pack.
As for the zombies, the new map "Die Rise" sees you moving along a series of collapsing skyscrapers and features brand new buildables and Wonder Weaponry. It's a whole new level of zombie terror as you have to watch your step as well as the undead content on eating your flesh. The new game mode is "Turned" where players can finally compete against each other as zombies! It begins with a lone human player who has to fight for survival against the other players. The first zombie that hunts down the human earns the right to spawn in as the new human so it's an undead free-for-all. Have a look at the map pack preview and see what you think!
The Revolution content pack will first arrive on Xbox 360 on January 29th for 1200 Microsoft Points and will follow to other platforms at a later date, and it's also available through the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass.
