Luigi's Mansion 2 sees dead people and Multiplayer mode makes an appearance

March is looking to be a great month for releases for the Nintendo 3DS, with Luigi's Mansion 2 as a 3DS exclusive. Nintendo have revealed that it will be the first game of the Super Mario games that will feature a local and online multiplayer mode.

This time Luigi is stumbling through multiple mansions to capture ghosts and solve puzzles while armed with his trusty ghost catcher vacuum cleaner, the Poltergust 5000 (where can we all get one?). A fully-fledged sequel to the Nintendo GameCube title that put our dear Luigi as the reluctant hero, Luigi's Mansio 2 will see Luigi face an even greater challenge than before.

The new Multiplayer can hold up to 4 players: in Hunter mode each player controls a different coloured Luigi and is challenged to hunt down ghosts and use effective teamwork to clear each floor of the tower before the clock strikes zero. That's right fans, teamwork. You can earn bonuses and upgrades depending how well your team performs, helping to get your ghost-busting team to the boss battles awaiting at the top of each tower. You can choose the number of floors in this mode ranging from 5 to 10 or even 25, and the difficulty can even be adjusted to cater to both new and veteran gamers. Fallen palyers can be revived so you can keep your team busting for even longer. How good does that sound?

As said earlier Luigi's Mansion 2 will be heading exclusively to Nintendo 3DS in March across Europe and will be available as both a retail purchase and a digital download from the Nintendo eShop.

I've played games for pretty much as long as I can remember, hoping to one day turn my love into a career. I'm in my final Masters year of University while writing for VGU, I love the design and production management type stuff and I will happily try any game at least once!
