The next big event for League of Legends is underway with the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS). The series will feature sixteen teams who will compete in a four round robin single elimination tournament to decide who gets the chance to play in the champion ship series.
Heres how it works, the sixteen teams are broken up into four groups. Two teams from each group have the chance to head straight into the series with a best-of-three elimination bracket. The winners of the 8 bracket will secure four spots in the LCS whilst the remaining four teams will fight foir the final spot on the last day.
The event, like previous ones, will be livestreamed on Twitch.Tv and will showcase the matches with commentary starring the likes of Jatt, Qu1ksh0t, Deman and Riot's own champion wizard, Phreak.

Riot has published the records of their actions online for everyone to see so that these members are now officially 'named and shamed'.
Day 2 promisses to kick the action up a notch by seeing how the winners of the group stage perform against one another to secure a spot in the LCS.
