Ironsun Studios based in Lichfield in the UK have started their Kickstarter today for their 'Underwater Neo-gothic steampunk adventure' Fathom.
Underwater Neo-gother steampunk adventure isn't a genre explored almost at all within games, infact the mashup of other genres into one 2.5D game is something that is very interesting to us here at VGU. This 2.5D game combines puzzle solving with combat and exploration, Ironsun had this to say about their up and coming game:
"At Ironsun, we are massive fans of Steampunk and feel that this sub-genre has been completely underused in today's world of interactive entertainment. Fathom mixes the myth of the lost city of Atlantis, the worlds of underwater exploration and combat with puzzle solving as players journey deep in the waters of the Caribbean sea, visiting ancient ruins and beautiful caverns in an awe-inspiring beautiful 2.5D world".
